Vicki Lee Parker-High, Executive Director of the NC Sustainable Business Council appeared on a recent airing of the Carolina Business Review along with Carl Blackstone, President and CEO of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, and Vance C. Dalton Jr, President and CEO of Ag South Farm Credit. The trio discussed a wide range of issues affecting both urban and rural areas of North Carolina and South Carolina with the host Dr. Laura Ullrich. A few of the topics discussed include the huge growth in urban areas, optimism in the small business sector going into 2024, reasons for rural areas losing population, increased agriculture efficiency despite the loss of farmland, and labor shortages.
