This conference is a collaborative effort with the Women's Business Center of North Carolina and in partnership with the Institute's Research, Policy and Impact Center, which helped the NCDIT Office of Digital Equity and Literacy create parts of its digital equity plan.
This conference will encourage conversation in two key areas: Connecting policy with practice.
POLICY sessions will focus on supporting the development of tech talent; preparing small businesses for upcoming opportunities in the digital world; and a roundtable conversation to discuss successful tech collaboration efforts.
PRACTICE sessions will bring tangible, actionable items to the small business audience. These topics include: legal protections for small business; leveraging technology to grow a small business; top tools and platforms to support small business; and reaching rural communities.
Participants will gain insight about the future of technology, digital equity, online access, learn about opportunities for small business, connect with technology brands and hear from experts with local, statewide and national presence.
