A former member of NCSBC's Board of Directors, Henry McKoy, who from July 2022 to January 2024, he served as the inaugural Director of the Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP) in the U.S. Department of Energy, managing a $16 billion portfolio to advance the equitable clean energy transition. Under his leadership, SCEP oversaw key programs like the Weatherization Assistance Program, State Energy Program, and Community Programs while playing a crucial role in coordinating $100 billion in DOE climate-related funding and leading efforts to deploy $500 billion in place-based clean energy investments. Dr. McKoy then transitioned to a new Presidential appointment as Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary for the U.S. Office of Science and Innovation, where he focuses on community-based innovation through the National Laboratory system.
